The village of Kadungalloor, Aluva, in Kerala was one of the worst hit by the floods.
On the second day of the floods, Aluva and nearby areas were cut-off by flood waters that made road and rail access impossible. Many people were trapped and teams of army personnel, National Disaster Response Force and navy were deployed at Aluva and surrounding areas.
The homes of many were destroyed and there is now a lack of food, essential living items and an acute shortage of safe drinking water.
Our lead instructor Anoop, who is also from the village of Kadungalloor, lost all personal belongings in the floods and suffered extensive damage to his family home.
We have been overwhelmed by requests of support from our foreign friends and have set up this donation page to help support our instructor Anoop and the friends, families and villagers of Kadungallor.
We appreciate your support and please know that even a small donation will help to relieve the suffering of many.
